    Experiential Learning is a great way of enhancing Pedagogical methods most useful for conceptual learning. If used in the right way learning can be made fun, and concepts can be made absolutely clear for students.
    Hence Classroom can be made a happy place for learning, by making even the toughest concept very simple for the learners

      I agree with your views! The concept becomes clearer and it makes learning FUN! Research in neuro-sciences also shows that when children take pleasure in their learning, their is greater engagement, memory retention and easier recall.

    Sir, I am Principal, All Saints' Public school, Adoor. I don't know whether this platform is suitable to ask my question. I sent many messages to Regional Office, Trivandrum. I didn't get a reply. Many students are asking from foreign countries and other places for change of school in X and XII during this academic due to Covid-19. Circular dated 05/04/19 was issued by CBSE for the direct admission of students in Class X&XII last year. Is there any new circular this year or do we follow the circular of last year.

    EL is learning by observations, experiences and reflection of those experiences. It has to be done by engaging activities that challenges the knowledge of the learners and reconstructs the knowledge.

      I like the way you describe the process as observation, experience and reflection. The experience implies active participation of the learner without which they cannot construct knowledge.
      You point out something important - the challenge and the fact that children construct and reconstruct their knowledge. I can add that we can co-construct knowledge through collaboration! :-)

    1. could the CBSE clarify the mode of assessment at the earliest if there is any change, so that the students could be prepared for it well advance in time.
    2. Are you having any plans to curtail any portions for the current academic session owing to the pandemic?

      Absolutely! There will be an EL teacher workshop of project mapping and lesson plans that will be generated at the end of this entire phase of workshops and distributed digitally. That will be a generated resource, by the teachers, for the teachers and students!

    Experiential learning can be connected with video lessons in subjects using role plays, sharing you tube videos of teachers in a common platform . As competency based education and outcome based approach is focussed students should experience and reflect outcomes of learning. Common platforms like sahodaya district wise can create experiential learning video lessons and encourage students through a variety of experiences to enjoy joyful learning.

    Experiential learning is one of the very essential concepts that can make our students to live in the present world. It is the part of old system that prevails in our Indian history. There are so many examples are there in our epics that shows experiential learning was following in those olden days. But in my opinion, at that time a specific syllabus was not there. According to the students it was emerging. But now a days we have a specific syllabus and it is time bound. Let us see the IGCSE, we have one text book for maths in 9th and 10th std. Comparing foreign syllabus we are having a huge syllabus to finish. I think using calculator is also a part of experiential learning. But still it is not a part of our cbse system. So authorities have to make a huge changes in the curriculum to avoid rot learning by mugging up the formulaes and all.

    I am Mathematics and Science teacher teach with with a motto "learn while u play " and I apply this method of teaching to all the classes. Hopefully It is applicable for Primary Section instead i teach for Higher section with same motto. In this method of teaching I make them to sing, or play what ever they wish to do and teach / bring / experience with real life situations and study.

    If yes then why the Superiors of the school and others say that u have to be strict

    For online Assessment, you can use Assignment and Quiz Assignment from Google Classroom . The formative assessment can be done using Quiz and descriptive by attaching the answer sheet on to Assignment and correcting the same and returning it. All these can be done on a Gsuite full version account. Suma Paul

    I am Sree Rekha Prasad ,Principal of Siddhartha Central School Pallimon.It was a wonderful session and very informative.I have felt that when I taught my students ,I understood some of the concepts much deeper and better than I learnt myself at school.I would like to share one method that we are using in our school,where all my students are enjoying learning .After online session by the teacher, students are simulating as teachers and are sending videos of their class. My students are experiencing the concepts very well, when they explain and try to make others understand through their videos.Even without B.ed.degree they are excellent teachers.Even though it looks like class room teaching ,there is a lot of conceptualization taking place.We are giving E-certificates ,trophies labelled in their name ,fee concessions as rewards to motivate their spirits.
