    1. Feedback for project mapping

Good initiative but the name suggests more of a topic study than action. Identifying the potential outcome will help define the project and various action items . Different stages of the project are identified clearly and a list of activities for each stage is mentioned. The project description gives a broad understanding of the learning outcomes but these are not clearly mentioned as subject competencies. It would be good to mention the target grade level. The purpose of the project is clearly identified and there is a connection with the child’s context. Activities like nature walk will help learners acquire different skills.

    1. The project is action oriented and there is a definite outcome that is suggested through the project title. The project definitely has a connection with child’s life and further activities elaborate it. Learning outcomes are clearly identified at some places but at some places it is not evident. All the stages are included and some more steps are added. The action part can be elaborated with diverse activities. Also the purpose can be more explicit.

    1. The project name is a topic in itself that is why a possible outcome is not being identified. Choosing an action can make a project doable and the processes easy to map. The project is divided into easy steps and the various stages have been identified. The subject competencies are charted for each stage. The action processes can help in making the project truly an experiential one. The purpose and context of the child is not mentioned, identifying that will also help map it better. Presentation looks well organized. The grade level is not mentioned.

The action outcome is clearly mentioned and the processes are detailed and well sequenced. All the stages are clearly mentioned with elaborate activities. The project stems from the basic child’s context and has beautiful links with many subjects. The learning outcomes are clearly documented. Both the processes and competencies are well aligned. The purpose is identified. The subtitle is amusing and appealing. Truly and experiential learning project!

The project title is a topic but in the process there is a mention of organization of a rally. Perhaps this could be the title of the project “ organizing a rally for water conservation”. This also clarifies the purpose of the project. Through the mind map different stages of the project are identified. There is some activities referred to each stage, some elaboration would be beneficial. It would be good to identify the grade level in order to determine subject competencies. Also inclusion of learning activities would give understanding of the process.

Broad learning objectives are identified and mentioned in the beginning of the process. The project title can be action- oriented as it is more of the topic. Different stages of the project are missing. The presentation starts very well with elaborate activities in the beginning but gets lost in the content later. More activities at each stage would make it experiential learning experience. To begin with, a good title that suggests an outcome would be a good start. For example : “Designing a cloth bag” could be a possible outcome and as a part of research they can explore the journey of fibre.

The project title is relevant and contextual. The Project makes sense in today’s time. The title is action based and gives a definite outcome. All the stages are clearly identified and activities are mentioned at each stage. Various subject competencies are clearly defined and also shows interdisciplinary approach. The purpose of the project is clear and is of importance to child’s context. This is a good example of an experiential learning project. May be defining a grade level would be good.

The project documentation is very well done. The title of the project could have an action word for eg: “ Making my own handkerchief”. All the stages of the project are clearly identified and learning outcomes are also mentioned. The first stage needs some more clarity on understanding. The idea of prior notion is to get to know from the child about his previous understanding of the project through some activities. It would be good to mention the target grade level. The purpose of the project is clearly identified and there is a connection with the child’s context. The purpose of the project is clearly mentioned.

The project title is slightly unclear. The title should reflect the outcome and should contain action word For eg. Creating innovation water irrigation system.
This would help create meaningful organic processes. The learning outcomes are clearly documented and are detailed. Though the learning stages are identified, there seems a confusion about its understanding. The focus should be shifted from content to more action items. The purpose of the project is clear but how is it made relevant to child’s life is not mentioned. It would be beneficial to state the target grade level.

The project title is extremely relevant and contextual. Picking up from child's favorite activities will automatically ignite interest in learning. This is an excellent choice. All stages are identified and under each stage activities are documented. These activities are engaging and interesting. There are evidences of interdisciplinary learning as well. I specially like the autobiography part " Writing the feelings of an stationary object". Mention grade level for more clarity.

The project is extremely relevant to the child’s environment and the world around and it is today’s burning question of saving the planet. It has a strong purpose with a clear goal and can be a lifelong learning for the child go on doing this project. As the project is hands-on, the learner develops deeper understanding and is concretely implementing it in day to day life. It has a strong social message for the communities.
The project has definitely a very interesting defined outcome as students are involved in making of the seed pen. It involves elaborate list of activities that are very conceptual like collecting data from different sources in different subject areas. The project clearly identifies What the students will do, How they will do through different activities and Why are they doing – the purpose of learning. It also reflects student-centred learning throughout and till the end. Suggest that the project can reframed as “Making of an eco-friendly seed pen” as an active outcome .
The Mapping of the learning processes are clearly identified and there are various stages involved. It is evident that it is multidisciplinary and reflects collaborative planning involved for learning outcomes. It is an experiential learning process and identifies learning at different stages like their Prior notion, a well-defined contextual Purpose, involves varied Research sources and is Action oriented. The reflection process helps them build their attitude and instils value system. A very well planned holistic learning project which has processes and skills for the learner.
The learning outcomes in different subjects are included with different competencies.
It is good to mention which grades are doing the project. A survey on usage of pen by different age groups will generate concrete data for a strong purpose. Suggestion to make a small video of the processes of making the seed pen to the sprouting of the plant. This is a good documentation and can be used for varied purposes for campaigns and presentations

    1. Project Title - A Journey Towards Healthy Life Style.

      Minoo Joshi from Team MGIS.

It is a good initiative but the title needs an action word for the project. A good outcome can lead to define the project. It is definitely relevant to the student’s context as health is the most important thing for them and the society. The world is going through pandemic and it is imperative to have good health and to be healthy. It has a purpose and needs a clear goal to achieve it.
The project must have an Action word for students to do it. The mapping mentions create awareness on healthy life style, street play and theatre -play . Suggestion is it can be “Enacting a Theatrical play on Benefits of Healthy Life Style” or " Awareness campaign on healthy Life Style"or“Making a book of Heathy Recipes for healthy life style.” For eg Students can start with discussing and keeping a log book of eating habits, personal hygiene and sleeping habits, physical and sports activities they are involved in. Surveys, Interviews and data collection can lead to identifying the need for healthy lifestyle. The mapping gives a broad insight of the activities involved at different stages from prior notion to reflection. The mapping also has all the subject areas connected to it. It is evident that it is multidisciplinary and reflects collaborative planning involved for learning outcomes. Film making, script writing, street play are very engaging and hands-on activities for the students. The project has scope of hands-on activities and the learner will develop deeper understanding by concretely implementing it into their day to day life. The project has imbibed different skill sets in the learning. It has a strong social message for the communities and can be conveyed through the play.
It is good to mention which grades are doing this project. Talks and sessions conducted by Doctors, health and fitness experts can be incorporated and it will be helpful for more guidance and learning for students. Making a collage of healthy versus Non healthy lifestyle can be fun for students.

    1. Project Title -Organ and Organ Systems.

      Minoo Joshi from Team MGIS

The topic is relevant to child’s context as it refers to learning of the body systems. It is a very well planned with interesting activities Science class with focus on the systems as the title suggest which is a topic than Action. Identifying the potential outcome will help define the project. Linking to real life contextual learning and situations will evolve into an action oriented project. For eg, “Making a comic book on systems”, “Creating a board game on healthy body systems”, “Making a life size puppet with facts and functions”,etc.
The lesson plan has various action items planned for the different stages of learning. All the activities are very detailed and has a good flow of learning. There is active and total participation of students and is very carefully thought about by the teacher. The multisensorial approach is evident with VAK – wheel of names, music and roleplay. The use of varied resources are used to develop strong research skills. Students are given clear instructions and in a very well organized way for clarity. The activities have scope of differential learning and students have choice to do presentations which is worth noting. It provides opportunities for students to collaborate. The learning outcomes are very specific and topic based.
Few Suggestions: It is good to mention which grades are doing this topic.
Reflection should include skills and processes along with the subject knowledge. What did the students do, How did they learn- the processes and skills and Why did they learn -the purpose of it. For eg, The activities involve research, social and media literacy skills. They learnt using the visual, kinesthetic and auditory senses. This helps them to identify their way of learning. There is a lot of scope of peer feedback. All 5 presentation groups can make their own assessments for other groups. The teacher can provide a common rubric to give feedback to other groups and that way the groups learn from each other and are attentive and participative at all times. The groups can make Organ System Models which is hands-on experience. Creative writing can be encouraged as each student can become an organ, autobiography of the system/organ. Talks and sessions conducted by Doctors, health and fitness experts can be incorporated and it will be helpful for more guidance and learning for students.

    1. Project title-My School, my safety, my responsibility.

      Minoo Joshi from Team MGIS.

It is a very good initiative and by adding an action word , it will make a very strong project. The title name suggests more of a topic study than action. It is relevant to the child’s context and specially in today’s pandemic situation, it definitely has a purpose. Identifying a specific and potential outcome, it will define the project along with various action activities. Linking it to real life contextual learning and situations, it will evolve into an action oriented project. The action part in your project map actually identifies the project and it can be named as “Making Masks and Sanitizers for my school” or
“ Designing Safety gear for my school” or “Creating safety Kit for safe school.”
The project map is basic with reference to all the different stages being identified – Prior notions, Research, Plan of Action, Reflection. By adding detail information and list of activities in a sequence will define the student learning processes. Research stage offers varied sources and scope for building of knowledge and skills. The project description gives a broad understanding of the learning outcomes but subject competencies need to be clearly mentioned along with it. There is a good blend of instructional strategies like group discussions, surveys, Experts interaction, etc. It would be good to mention the grade level. Reflection can include skills and processes along with the subject knowledge. What did the students do, How did they learn- the processes and skills and Why did they learn -the purpose of it.

      Minoo joshi from Team MGIS.

It is a very good initiative and it is more of a topic study than action. It can be made relevant to the child’s context and specially as sustainability is the key for surviving in today’s world. Linking to real life contextual learning and situations of the students will evolve into an action oriented project. Suggestion is that the Project can evolve into “Designing Rain water harvesting system”, “Campaign for saving natural resources”, etc. The project map has all the different stages identified – Prior notions, Research, Plan of Action, Reflection and are mostly addressed. The detailed information and list of activities in a sequence will help further the students learning processes. Research stage in all subjects offers varied sources and scope for building of knowledge and skills. The project description gives a broad understanding of the learning outcomes and most of the subject competencies are clearly mentioned. There is a good blend of instructional strategies like group discussions, surveys, seminars, interaction with farmers, etc. The planning reflects collaborative team works of the teachers. Reflection should be navigated more towards the learning processes and skills of the students along with the subject knowledge.

    3. FEEDBACK ON PROJECT MAPPING FROM MGIS

The topic chosen, Most Valuable citizens- Cultivators, is very interesting and it is important for our children to recognize the efforts of the cultivators. The only thing that needs to be added is a main central idea with an action attached to it e.g. Creating a ballad showcasing the two sides in the life of a farmer. (Note: this suggestion is based on the action that is mentioned in the ppt). It is important for children to understand the life of cultivators. It will help them understand their issues and lifestyle, empathize with them for the hard work that they put even in the adverse conditions. The project mentions ‘Dance Ballad’ under ‘Plan of Action’. It should also give the steps how it is being planned. It also has smaller outcomes mentioned under ‘Action’. Smaller outcomes within each stage can be included but the project should have one main outcome that needs to be very clearly defined. Some points under ‘Plan of action’ are actually parts of research. Since under ‘action’ you are writing Dance Ballad’ there is a need of research on ballads in the ‘Research’ section. There is a huge scope of integrating a lot of subject and can be included in the mind map itself. Overall, a lot of creativity on the parts of the initiators can be witnessed looking at the slides.

      Minoo Joshi from Team MGIS

The project mapping is very creative and well structured with all the essential elements. It is an excellent initiative and is relevant in today’s world where the citizens are flooded with endless commodities in the market. But the title and the name suggests more of a topic study than action. Your plan of action indicates an action of “Creating advertisements” which is perfect for the doing the Project. Students can create different advertisements for different target audience – focusing on Consumer Rights, on Information and required knowledge on it, do an Awareness campaign through Ads. This leads to a potential outcome. The purpose of the project is clearly identified and there is a connection to the child’s context. The different stages are clearly identified and a list of activities for each stage is mentioned. The project description gives a broad understanding of the learning outcomes but these can be in detail for clarity as subject competencies. The array of activities are multisensorial and provide opportunities to students to collaborate, apply skills, share and have peer feedback. The instructional strategies allows student-centred learning and building attitudes and profiles. Reflection can be navigated more towards the learning processes and skills of the students along with the subject knowledge. It would be good to mention the target grade level for doing this project.

    1. Project Title- Salt- The Essence of Taste.

      Minoo Joshi from Team MGIS

It is a very good initiative and the title is a caption than action. The title should reflect an action word for the project outcome. It can be made relevant to the child’s context and specially as it is linked to our food. Defining a purpose is a must for a tangible outcome. Linking to real life situations of the students will evolve into an action oriented project.
Suggestion is that the Project can evolve into “Organizing a Salt Fair”, where the students have opportunity to interact with the school and parent community. They can have different stalls of the activities that are listed in the mapping “Pinch of Salt” – Experiments with salts, Food items with and without salts - Competition which does better sale, PPT of historic importance, different types of salts and its information, Fact check of salt on health and diseases, storytelling stall, etc.The project map has reference to all the different stages being identified. Prior notions, Research, Plan of Action, Reflection, etc are addressed and well mapped. The list of activities identified are engaging and participative for further learning processes. Research stage is very well addressed and it offers scope for building knowledge and skills required for the subjects. The project description gives a good broad understanding of the learning outcomes and most of the subject competencies are clearly mentioned. There is a good blend of instructional strategies like Mime, roleplay , games, real data collection, surveys, expert views, field trips, etc. The array of activities are multi sensorial and provide opportunities to students to collaborate, apply skills, share and have peer feedback. The instructional strategies allows student centre learning and building attitudes and profiles. The project mapping and planning reflects good collaborative team work of the teachers.
Reflection can be steered more towards the learning processes and skills of the students on what, How and why of the learning.

    1. Project Title- Essay Writing- Junk Food.

      Minoo Joshi from Team MGIS.

It is an excellent lesson plan by subject teachers and the title is a topic which needs an action word for the project. It is absolutely relevant to the child’s context and specially as it is linked to our food and health. It is today’s world’s burning question of good health and becoming healthy. It has a strong purpose and needs a clear goal to achieve it. The title should reflect an action word for a good project outcome for students to do. Suggestion is it can be “Enacting a Theatrical play on Benefits of Eating Healthy Food” or “Making a book of Healthy Recipes.” Students can do all the activities listed in the lesson plan and keep a log book of eating habits, Calorie intake, etc . Surveys, Interviews and data collection can lead to identifying the need for eating healthy versus junk food for being healthy. The lesson plan has all the subject areas connected to it. It is evident that it is multidisciplinary and reflects collaborative planning involved for learning outcomes. students. The lesson plan has scope of hands-on activities and the learner will develop deeper understanding by concretely implementing it in day to day life. It has imbibed different skill sets in the learning. It has a strong social message for the communities.
The schools are provided with Experiential learning steps for school teachers/hub schools and Group assignment and specific Rubric for the feedback. The lesson plan requires to be in the Project mapping format. The format has specific learning stages to be mapped. So it will be a suggestion to put it in that format for clear understanding of the aspects of the project mapping .

    14. Project Title-Pollution.

      Minoo Joshi from Team MGIS.

It is an excellent elaborate lesson plan by subject teachers with amazing list of activities. But as the name suggests it is more of a topic study than action. It is absolutely relevant to the child’s context and specially as it is linked to our day to day life with many types of Pollutions and issues related to it. Our environment is reeking with Pollution and is linked directly to our physical and mental health. It has a purpose but needs a clear goal to achieve it. The project requires an Action word for students to be actively involved for an outcome. Suggestion is, it can be “Enacting a Theatrical play on the Hazards of Pollution” or “Awareness Campaign/Rally on Pollution.” Students can do all the activities listed in the lesson plan. The lesson plan has all the subject areas connected to it. It is evident that it is multidisciplinary and reflects good team work and collaborative planning involved for learning outcomes. It has a strong social message for the society.
The lesson plans of all the grades can be mapped wonderfully according to the guidelines and format provided to the schools by CBSE. As the lesson plan has array of creative action oriented activities, defined learning outcomes and subject links, it can be easily translated into the given mapping format. The lesson plan requires to be in the Project mapping format. The format has specific learning stages to be mapped and presenting in it will give further clarity.

    1. Project Title- Rainy Day Crisis/Pandemic and Future.

      Minoo from Team MGIS

It is a very good initiative to make the students understand the concept of Savings and Investments. The title is more of topic than action oriented project. If the grade level is mentioned, the relevance of the project can be identified. Identifying the Purpose “why” will lead to a good outcome. Suggestion is “Creating a class bank” or “Awareness Campaign on Saving and investing” can be ideas for the project. These will give them opportunity to real life experience and make them understand the nuances of Savings and Investment by actively participating in it. The different stages of the project are mostly mapped but needs to be distinguished for clarity and sequencing of processes. The mapping shows information and few activities that lead to learning. Exactly how will the students learn to understand could have been more elaborately described. This involves methodology and each step in this process as how to do it. The mapping shows a varied and broad descriptions of various activities and learning outcomes but needs to clearly state the subject competencies. Few activities can be on -Why we need a Bank, different types of banks, visit to a bank, meeting and interacting with experts on investing, understanding financial literacy, etc. The project has a strong lifelong learning and powerful social message for all the communities in this Pandemic.

Good initiative. However, ‘Salute the farmers’ is a very broad project title. This needs to have a clearer, more concrete and robust central idea with an action attached to it. The theme chosen is very relevant to the children’s context, as children need to understand and appreciate the hard work that goes into farming. This will help them build a sense of respect towards the farmers and the occupation. The project has a lot of scope for integrating various disciples into it. The outcome still needs to be well worded and a clear end product or service defined. E.g. Creating an organic farm. In the process of creating an organic farm, they will eventually learn to respect the farmers, which is the idea that has been spelt out here. Starter needs to be defined, as it sets mood for the project and initiators understand clearly where to start from. Slide no. 3 mentions all the five sections of the mind map. Detailing them would be the right process. The content of slide no. 6 is more to do with the topic and the subjects and so they become the outer whorl of the mind map created in slide 3. Subject links/learning outcomes are included for different subject. Hindi could be looked at in a better way. Perhaps poems based on Indian farming/farmer could be introduces, debates can be organized.

A very apt topic (Corona Pandemic) chosen by the school and adding an action to it will make into a purposeful project. The theme is very much relevant in the present times. It has a very strong message for the society. Contextual and children can relate to it, they are already well-informed as they are experiencing the situation and adding more concrete information will help them understand it better. The section, ‘pre-conceived notion’ mentions what it is, adding how it, will give value to this section. E.g. mine a scenario at home or hospital when someone is unwell or enact actions related to different ailments. This sure will bring out actions related to ‘Corona’. Going by the points mentioned under the section, ‘Action’, the outcome can be ‘Making a mask’ and hence the central theme of the mind map would become the same. The section ‘Research’ needs to be a bit streamlined based on the action. Research may then include both primary and secondary research on the ailment, its prevention, cure etc. Again, if the mask making is the action, the plan of action can have other points like planning of resource management, time management, material needed, costing etc. The links are strong and clear for the subjects mentioned as of now but if the outcome is changed, they also will get changed. Good chances of statistics, history of how many diseases had spread in the past e.g. Spanish flu etc. Few more links to languages (both Hindi and English) can be made through debates and essay writing, discussions on social responsibility of each individual. Art can be used as a medium by students to spread awareness message on the topic. Over all a very interesting and meaningful concept has been taken up by the school.

A beautiful plan and its representation with a lot of innovations, especially that a poem is being taken up through this topic. But since, ‘Rain’ in itself is just a topic, it needs to have an action attached to it e.g. Creating a rainwater harvesting systems or Making cloud jar etc. (Note: these suggestions are based on the action that is mentioned in the ppt). The concept is very much relevant to the children’s context. In fact it is a very interesting concept and encompasses a lot of sub-concepts that can be easily addressed. A project can have two small outcomes and in this case, it seems, that rain cloud jar and rain water harvesting systems are the two outcomes but this needs to be mentioned clearly as the central idea of the project. The mind map is done in a very creative way and all the aspects of the mind mapping are fulfilled. However, addition of initial representation before ‘Research’ is required. One of the activities for initial representation could be to produce the sound of rain by using body (e.g. clicking, tapping or clapping). This will form a good starter using ‘Auditory’ sensory modes and our own body. The points mentioned under the four categories, can actually be a part of ‘Research’ itself, leaving a scope of making the project even more in-depth. And thus, ‘Planning’ can have information on specification of what the children are going to make, resources that they need to acquire, space where they will make/install the rain water harvesting system, costing, time managing etc. ‘Action’ can involve a component of survey and the actual making of the product. ‘Reflection’ can include the self-reflection on the work by the students, peer and initiators. It can also have points for improvement. The learning outcomes are clearly included in the project planning and mentioned for different subjects, making it a multi-disciplinary project and as per the CBSE guidelines, which is a very strong point of this planning.

‘Food Pyramid’ is a very important concept that has been taken especially for the age groups mentioned. It is contextual and enriches the children with a lot of information. Children of these grades 1, 2 and 3 should be aware of the food that they need to consume. To make it into a project, it requires an action. E.g. Create a food pyramid chart for your class or family etc. or Model of favourite dish using clay (Note: this suggestion is based on the action that is mentioned in the ppt). The mapping sequence needs to be changed a bit so to have a better flow of activities leading from one to another, it should be Initial representation, Research, Planning, Action, Reflection. Presentation and analysis can go under any or all the categories. The initial representation mentioned in the mapping is quite interesting. Since it will be taken up in the first one or two sessions, some suggestions for the same could ‘Pretend having your favourite food and others guess the food. You will get a lot of food items that children like to consume and this will easily lead to one of the important aspects that you have mentioned in your mind mapping about ‘nutritional value of food’. This can become the point of discussion leading to debates on healthy vs. junk food etc. even before the children move ahead in exploring the nutritional value of dishes as mentioned on slide 2 under fireless cooking. Presentation of work by students is a very good idea as mentioned and can be linked to reflection by them. The students can self-reflect on their action/ presentation, get peer review or teachers feedback based on some criteria that can be framed along with the students. The project shows a strong link with subjects like English, Math, life skills and art. Science and social studies are embedded in it and can be mentioned separately in the last slide. Over all a very interesting theme taken up by the school!
